Obituary For Allen “DJ Ice” Holloway

Mr. Allen Holloway was born November 18th 1964 to the late Betty Brown Daniel and the late Cleveland Holloway in Troup County GA. He gained his wings and new life on his 58th birthday November 18th 2022.

At an early age he united with Love Union Baptist Church, West Point, GA. He later united with Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, GA.

“DJ ICE,” as he was known was a product of the West Point Public School System. He was the known to get you off your feet and onto the dance floor with his mixing of music.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar and Anthony Holloway.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving and devoted wife, Opal Holloway; sisters, Vannie Edge Carrollton, GA, Katherine (David) Chelcy of Lanett, AL; Gemaniel Jones of Columbus, GA; Letha Barnes and Frances Holloway Lanett, Al; brother Horace Holloway, Lanett, AL; step-children Mashekia and Pernell Easter Jr of LaGrange, GA; two grandsons, Aiden and X’Zavier Hardnett of LaGrange, GA; sisters-in-law, Kim Brown, Kezia Heard and Ynez Dixon; brothers in-law, Chris Brown, Alonzo Brown and Zamboski Davis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two special nieces, Takisha Avery and Nicole Avery; special nephew, Matravious “JSU” Williams; special lady he called “Ma”, Ms. Linda Young.

Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Holloway will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. W.T. Edmondson, Pastor, Eulogist, Pastor Michael Slaughter, Pastor Tony Avery and Minister Bobbie Ogletree, assisting. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
