Carter Funeral Home announces the restful transition of Mr. Eddie Mack Turner, III of Midway, AL.

Mr. Turner, age 37, transitioned into eternity Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Atlanta, GA. The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, November 11, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 12:00 noon from the Mt. Coney Baptist Church Cemetery, Midway, AL.

Pastor James N. Robbins, Sr. will deliver the message of comfort and strength.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Eddie Mack Turner III was born December 31, 1984 to Eddie Mack Turner, Jr. and Valenzia Robbins Turner. Eddie was funny, loving, and loyal and would do anything for anybody. He was a caring son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. His earthly ministry was fulfilled in an impactful way during his short God given lifespan.

Eddie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age, was baptized and joined the Mount Coney Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of and served faithfully with the Youth Choir, Baptist Training Union, Junior Usher Board, Assistant Pre-K/Kindergarten Vacation Bible School Teacher and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent—in training.

He graduated with the 2003 Class of Bullock County High School with honors. He played saxophone with the Marching Hornets Band and played cornerback with the BCHS varsity football team. He attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He then transferred to Alabama A&M University in Huntsville where he graduated with a BS Degree in Political Science and minor in Criminal Justice.

He was employed with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and the Publix Distribution Centers in Atlanta, GA.

He was preceded in death by: grandfather, Eddie Mack Turner, Sr.; grandparents, Reverend I. H. and Mrs. Sallie B. Lewis Robins; brother, Terrance Romell Turner, and; uncle, Robert Turner.

He transitioned from this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He leaves to treasure precious memories: parents, Eddie Mack Turner, Jr. and Valenzia Robbins Turner (Midway, AL); three sisters: Cavondra S. Turner (Midway, AL), Keiandra L. Turner (Stonecrest, GA) and Lashondra R. Turner (Houston, TX); grandmother, Melvie Turner (Midway, AL); niece, Laila Turner (Houston, TX); nephew, Ah’mad Gourdine (Stonecrest, GA); six aunts: Annie Ree McGraw (Rome, GA), Lelia Robbins Downing (Montgomery, AL), Mary Turner Selinas (Willoughby, OH), Jeanette Turner, Cynthia Turner, & Queen Turner (Atlanta, GA); four uncles: Dr. Alexander (Rochelle) Robbins, (Montgomery, AL), Wilson (Mary Ann) Turner (Atlanta, GA), Elijah Turner, (Midway, AL), Ulysses (Veronica) Turner (Blakely, GA); special cousins: Joy, Cyderria, Brian, Roderick, Robbi, Gayla, Rashad & Kim; special friends: Calvin and Joshua; a multitude of loving cousins and friends.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with The Final Life Celebration Arrangements for the late Mr. Eddie Mack Turner, III.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of floral tributes we would appreciate donations to the Mt Coney Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Eddie Mack Turner III.
