Helen Marie Sullivan

Helen Marie Sullivan, 94, passed quietly, on September 22, 2022, at home in Greensboro, GA, after a brief illness.

She was born in Farmington, MI, attended Farmington High School and later Eastern Michigan University. She was the daughter of Achilles “Cony” Sapienz(a) and Mary Sapienz (Drapeau). She had two brothers, the late Edgar Joseph Sapienz and the late Robert Dean Sapienz.

Helen started her career as a dental assistant and later as a full-time mother, and as a bank teller in Pinckney, MI. After retirement, she lived for over 20 years in Tavares, FL and later in Slidell, LA before moving to Greensboro, GA.

She lived her life as a devout Catholic and served her parish throughout as a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Helen was married for 56 years to the late Daniel William Sullivan who passed away in 2008. They are survived by two sons David John Sullivan and Constance Eileen Blair-Sullivan of Greensboro, GA; and Brian Daniel Sullivan and Mary Beth Sullivan (Zink) of Oskaloosa, IA.

Helen is survived by 5 grandchildren, Jaime Ann Limotte (Sullivan) and Joseph Ray Limotte of South Lyon, MI; Jeremy David Sullivan and Jenny Marie Sullivan (Schlanser) of Beaverton, OR; and Lindsey Erin Bieligk (Sullivan) and Jeremy Adam Bieligk of Springfield, VA; Michael Brian Sullivan and Kristen Michelle Sullivan (Schmiedel) of Brighton, MI; and Kimberly Melissa Price (Sullivan) and Nathan Lee Price of Oskaloosa, IA.

Helen is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Gavin Joseph Limotte, Gannon Daniel Limotte, Gillian James Limotte, Nathaniel Finn Sullivan, Phoebe Alma Autumn Sullivan, Connor Michael Sullivan, Mason James Sullivan, Carter Lee Price and Hayden Daniel Price, Owen Davis Bieligk, and Avery Genevieve Bieligk.

Helen lovingly embraced her 2 step-granddaughters, Jennifer Elisabeth Shay-Vega (Hurst) and Ramzes Bernardo Vega; and Jessica Leigh Webster (Hurst) and Noah Daniel Webster, along with her 5 step-great-grandchildren Chloe Ashlyn Shay, Liam Wolfgang Shay, Ella Lucille Webster, Maya Ruth Webster and Jonah Daniel Webster.

Her nieces and nephews number almost too many to count, among them are: Dennis Dean Sapienz, the late Debra Jane Durkee (Sapienz), Sharon Ann Sapienz, the late Elizabeth Ann Slayton (Sapienz), Michael Joseph Sapienz, Mark Allen Sapienz, Susan Sullivan, the late Johnny Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, Pamela Sullivan, the late Steven M. Fitzpatrick, the late John R. Fitzpatrick, Denise A. Pecar (Fitzpatrick), Debra A. Fitzpatrick, Carol J. Fitzpatrick, Daniel Fitzpatrick, Christopher Fitzpatrick, Patrick Fitzpatrick, Kathleen A. Sullivan, the late Kevin Sullivan, Ronald Sullivan, Maureen Sullivan, Steven E. Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, the late Robert Kercorian, William (Billy) Kercorian, Jeffrey Kercorian, Karen A. Conti (Cummings), Jennifer L. Stolle (Cummings), Linda M. Norvell (Cummings), Kelly Sullivan.

Helen was a patient person. To know her was to love her and she will be missed by her family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in Greensboro. She will be interred with her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
