Elizabeth W. Thompson

Mrs. Elizabeth W. Thompson passed away quietly Friday at Columbus Hospice House at the blessed age of 90. Born in Wharton, TX and the daughter of the late Alamater Micks, she was a Master Cosmetologist and retired as a Cosmetology Professor from Columbus Technical College after 20 years of service. She was a very devout member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women Missionary League.

Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, SGT. Scedell Thompson, son, Thomas Thompson, two daughters, Gwendolyn and Brenda Thompson, grandson, Deon Thompson and two siblings, Candy and Buddy.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline Thompson(Charles), Cynthia Thompson and Mary Frady; five grandchildren, LaDonna Denmark(Ralph), Jeremy Thompson, Alicia Biggers(Travis), Donnis Jones and Ashley Daniel(Gary); fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Ellena Richey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Thompson will be laid to rest with her husband at Main Post Cemetery.

A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted at Ten O'clock AM Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Brad Arnholt.

Visitation is 3:00 til 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
