On Monday, August 15, 2022, God called Richard from his earthly life to receive his just reward.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ethel Mae Botts, Mattie Castile Wilder; brothers, Williams Joe Castile and George Castile; his son, David Lee Dove; and his wife, Carol Jean Dove.
His hobbies included fishing and woodworking. On July 13, 1955, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he retired on November 28, 1980, after 25 years of service. He then continued service by working as a journeyman craftsman for the Navy.
He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory: three daughters, Sandra Price, Deborah Murray and Gwendolyn Dove; one son, Richard Dove; four siblings, Marie Snipes, Nelda Castile, Bessie Ford and Lorraine Gobert; four granddaughters, Tia Gerritzs, Ashly Dove, Erica Barker and Mallory Murray; four grandsons, Bryan Dove, Keon Dove, Brandon Price and Michael Murray; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Richard Lee Dove will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Progressive with interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
