Mrs, Susie M. Cosper age 100 formerly of Milltown, Alabama passed away on August 7, 2022 at her residence in LaFayette, Alabama surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Cosper was born on February 19, 1922 in Chambers County to the late Beulah and Lonnie Marshall. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris Cosper, six brothers, 4 sisters and granddaughter Tina Anderson.
Susie has been referred to by many as one of the sweetest souls and was cherished by her family and friends, She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama, Grandmother Cosper loved the lord with all her heart. She prayed fervently for her family to come to know the Lord. She could always be found sitting on her couch reading her Bible daily. She loved quilting for her family and tending to her flower garden. When asked what her secret was to a long life, her reply was "working hard".
She is survived by 5 children: Barbara (Darryl) Hughes of Oden, Arkansas, Lee Ruston of LaFayette, Alabama, Julia (Larry) Richardson of Marcoot, Alabama, Ronnie (Marsha) Cosper of Roanoke, Alabama, Ken (Pam) Cosper of Sharpsburg, Georgia, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 11, 2022 at 11AM at the New Hope Christian Church in Roanoke, Alabama with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 10AM until 11AM prior to the service.
