Graveside Services will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. Mary United Methodist Church Cemetery located at 100 Pine Street in Hogansville, Georgia 30230. Pastor Brenda Pritchett Rhodes will officiate.
Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance at the viewing and the Graveside must wear a mask and social distancing is encouraged.
Mr. Roderick Demond Jackson was born on August 22, 1976 to Amanda Jackson and the late Harvey Phillips. God called him home on August 7, 2022 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Roderick attended Hogansville High School where he participated in every sport before graduating in 1994.
Roderick accepted Christ at an early age at St. Mary United Methodist Church.
Roderick worked at Milliken in LaGrange, Georgia for seventeen years. After leaving Milliken he began at Variety Wholesale until his health failed.
Roderick enjoyed fishing, joy riding and watching sports, always cheering for his favorite college team (The Florida Gators).
Roderick leaves to cherish his memories his mother Amanda Jackson; daughter Siyanni Hopson; one sister LaShantras Jackson; two brothers Cedric Jackson (Elaine) and Anwar Philpot (April); three nieces Destiny, Jahavian, Jaliyah; six uncles Tyrone (Sharon), George, Jimmy, Harold, Walt and Rickey; two aunts Gwendolyn and special aunt Joann Jackson; three special cousins Mr. Monte Jackson, Mr. Claynard Jackson and Mr. Deon Grady (who preceded him in death); special friends Mary Hill, Antonio Boyd and Courtney Grier; and a host of cousins and friends.
