Obituary For Mrs. Evangale R. Walker

Mrs. Evangale R. Walker, a resident of Lanett, AL, died Friday, August 5, 2022 at Diversicare of Lanett Healthcare, Lanett, AL.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (EST) on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Pine Hill Cemetery, 2167 22nd Street SW, Lanett, AL 36863 with Rev. L C Thomas officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 12, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

On November 23, 1956, Ernestine McCauley Ross and Lewis Henry Ross Penn was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, they named her Evangale Rochell. She was educated in the Chambers County School System. She accepted Christ at an early age, joining Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in LaFayette, Alabama. She later united with True Deliverance Holiness Church in Auburn, Alabama.

Evangale was united in Holy Matrimony to Arthur Lee Walker, Jr. and to this union three children were born—Desi, Demonica and Dexter. She was a joyful person who enjoyed her family, listening to music, and dancing. On August 5, 2022, God sent His angels to grant her eternal rest.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ernestine and Lewis “Peter” (Clara) Ross; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur, Sr. and Lelia Walker; sisters, Kathye Johnson, Denise (Arthur) Rowe; niece, Renesia M. Brady; nephew, Mario F. Ross; grandparents, Ossie McCauley, Sr. and Margaret Brooks Andrews; uncles, Frankie McCauley, Rev. Ossie “Mickey” McCauley; and sister-in-law, Mae Walker Thomas.

Evangale leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Arthur L. Walker, Jr.; her children, Desi Renay Walker, Valley, AL, Demonica (Terry, Sr.) Frazier, North Charleston, SC and Dexter (Leslie) Walker, Ladson, SC; grandchildren, Tracy, Desi, Joshua, Jasmine, Demarcus, Ja’rontae, I’breana, Keontae, Dexter, Jr., and Symone; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Seneca (Oscar) Martin, San Antonio, TX, Twyla (Johnny) Heard, Lanett, AL and Nina Cotton, Riverdale, GA; aunts, Tommie Ramsey, Mattie Brown and Daisy McCauley; uncles, Lamar (Vanessa) McCauley, Roy (Brenda) McCauley and James Bonner; nieces, Pamela (Frank) Mathis, Danita Ross, Alexis (Ralph) Henderson, Latisha Barker, Josephine Walker and Rachel Walker; nephew, Alfreda Johnson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Davis, Mary (David) Watson, Patricia Harris, Brenda (Gary) Wright, Christine (Irvin)Gibson, Jerry (Almeda) Walker, Eddie (Bridgett) Walker, Dorothy (Roosevelt) Gibson, Joseph Walker, Gerald (Keisha) Walker and Rev.
