Obituary For Eddie Gooden

Mr. Eddie Gooden 86 of LaFayette, Alabama Died Saturday July 23, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Gooden was born in LaFayette January 17, 1936 to the late Eddie Lee Gooden, Sr., and the late Pearlie Simpson Gooden he was a member of LaFayette Heights Baptist Church, and retired from West Point Pepperell as a printer after 35 years of service.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 2PM at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church with burial in the LaFayette City Cemetery with The Rev. Paul Howard and the Rev. Perry Walls officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6PM until 8PM at the family life center of the church.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Gooden, 4 children Judy Gooden, Ricky (Janet) Gooden, Donna Gooden, Christopher (Pam) Gooden, 3 sisters Wynelle Talley, Gearline Trimble, Yvonne (Pee Wee) Jessup, grandchildren Mitch (Chole) Gooden, Jessica (Brian) Mitchell, Eric (Amber) Gooden, Malia (Phillip) Beane, Ashley (Anthony) Hutchinson, Josh (Megan) Gooden, Amanda (Charlie) Suder, Heather Gooden, Jeremiah Gooden, Lee Crowder, Adam Gooden, Noah Gooden, Morgan Gooden, Justin Gooden, Brittney Gooden, and 23 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in laws Benny Bob Talley, Eugene Trimble, brother Bobby Gooden, sister Margie Faye Gooden.

I miss my Daddy so much , was not expecting this at this moment in time I was still Praying God would heal him, but he brought him home with him instead,so as much as I Love & Miss him here I know he is healed with a new body there, No pain, he is young, Happy , walking around again with healed legs & feet too & with his loved ones already there, & smiling & Healthy,,he was the Best Father anyone could ever ask for , a Teacher to his kids & Grandchildren, the best role mode anyone could ask for teaching us to Love God, to live right , to Love others & treat others as we would want to be treated, he was always there for me , never ever walked away from his kids & Grandkids, they all made his life full & Happy, When I would always hug him bye or tell him bye on Facetime ,he would always say "I Love you baby-girl " My Heart is empty right now & I know it will take time ,not sure how much, I have a huge Void right now ,I just want to touch him one more time , hold his hand one more time, tell him I love him one more time, Give him the Biggest Hug ever one more time! I know he is watching over us, & I also know that everyday I am one day closer to seeing him again!I Love You so much my sweet Daddy <3 I will see you again one day! <3
