Phillip Gray

Mr. Phillip Lamar Gray was born to the union of the late Mr. Eugene Gray Sr. and Mrs.Lillian Lee Lockhart Gray on January 2, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the third oldest of ten children born to this union. Phillip was saved at an early age and joined Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. He was joined in holy matrimony to Brenda Gray. Phillip entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, July 8, 2022 at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Mr. John Lockhart and Mrs. Janie Lou Brown Lockhart, Mr. Raymond Gray and Mrs. Ruth Todd, and a host of aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memories: his companion, Betty Price; three children, Raven Gray, Phillip Gray of Memphis, TN and Corddrius Jackson of LaGrange, GA; stepson, Chapez Cofield of LaGrange, GA; six brothers, Eugene(Jackie) Gray, Alfonzo Gray, Raymond Gray, Tyrone(Katrista) Gray, Mark(Stephanie)Gray, Timothy(Melinda) Gray; two sisters, Regina(Fredrick) Gray, LaTasha(Demetris) Maddox; one granddaughter, Ka’laia Jackson; uncles, Sylvester( Dorothy) Gray, Larry (Lisa) Lockhart, Curtis Lockhart; aunt, Mary Todd, and a host of other family and friends; two special friends who he always count on, Fredrick Rendery and Clara Billingslea.

Graveside Services for Mr. Gray will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 12:00 (noon) ET in the Marseilles Cemetery with Rev. Jairo Gay serving as the eulogist.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
