Mr. Carr, a native of Bullock County, AL, lovingly known as “Train” transitioned into eternity May 4, 2022, at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, May 13, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farwell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2 :00 pm at the New Bethel AME Cemetery, Fitzpatrick, AL.
Rev. Arthur Sabree will deliver the message of comfort and hope.
Mr. Grover Cleveland Carr “Train” was born January 1,1951 to the late Nathaniel and Mariah Carr. He peacefully and comfortably transitioned into eternity May 4,2022 at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Grover accepted Christ at an early age. His two favorite quotes were “everything copacetic” and “It’s best to eat too much than talk too much”. Preceeded in death are siblings Hohn Jackson, Birl Jackson, John Jackson, Gloria Prickett and Goldie Carr.
He leaves to cherish his memories five children; Valarie Monday, Sabrina Monday, Desmond(Timeka) Monday, Jeffrey Monday, and Melody Monday, all of Fitzpatrick, Al; one sister Hattie Harris, Fitzpatrick, AL; two brothers, Tom(Jerral) Jackson, Birmingham,AL ;and Mark(Paula) Carr ,Bavaria, Germany; fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; a favorite niece Joanne Pickett Blakely, and special friends Mark Fincher and Mike Weaver, and devoted cousin Agee Baldwin.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
