The daughter of Lincoln Rutledge III and the late Carolyn Millender, April was a Columbus native born on April 19, 1979. She was a graduate of Jordan High School and was a member of Total Man Ministries. She had worked as a cashier at Kmart for several years until her health declined. April enjoyed cooking gourmet dinners and spending time with her family. She had a kind heart and loved people.
Other than her mother, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dan Cobb, Jr. and Alene Bowman Cobb; paternal grandparents, Lincoln Rutledge Sr. and Eula Bee Rogers Rutledge.
Surviving is a loving daughter, Anastasia Cobb; her father, Lincoln Rutledge III (Olivia); one sister, Lateasha Carter; four aunts, Patricia Brenson, Deborah Cobb, Rudine Hightower and Twanna Whitlow; one uncle, Stanley James; one great uncle, Michael Cobb; three nephews, Maurice Carter, Jacquarie Carter and Demetreece Carter; three special cousins, Dana Horne (Gabe), Maricus Cobb and Michael Brenson (Latrice); god sister, Kim Walton; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Memorial Service for April will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Total Man Ministries.
