After retirement, Edward traveled extensively, visiting places to include Turkey, China, Brazil, South Africa, and every state within the United States. He allowed his family and friends to see the world through his camera lens.
Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Bryant, James Fitch, Ronald Fitch and Harvey Fitch of Charlottesville, and Roland Fitch of Lynchburg, Virginia, and his son-in-law, Gregory Ingersoll of Columbus, GA. Edward leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Dr. Taneshia Fitch Ingersoll; his granddaughter, Madison Ingersoll; his best friend and confidant of over 52 years, Mrs. Betty L. Fitch, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for 1SG Edward L. Fitch will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Graveside at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, 9:30 til 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
