Amari J. Conwell passed away Thursday in Columbus at the age of 23. Born in Killeen, TX, he was the son of Stephanie Thomas Conwell of Columbus and Timothy D. Conwell of Chester, VA.

Residing in Columbus most of his life, he was a 2017 graduate of Columbus High School and was currently in his third year at Columbus State University. He was employed as Assistant Director of the Summer Youth Program at the Urban League of Columbus. He was a member of St. Mary’s Road United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy M. Pruitt. Other than his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Armani S. Comer; three siblings, Fatima R. Turner, Tevin D. Conwell and Tyra D. Conwell; his grandparents, Cecelia Conwell and Jack Belcher; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Amari will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery on Thursday, February 17, 2022 following a Two Thirty PM Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of St. Mary’s Road United Methodist Church where Rev. Adrain Burgess is pastor, Pastor L.K. Pendleton will deliver the Eulogy.

Visitation is Wednesday the 16th, 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
