Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2950 Primrose Road in Greenville, Georgia. Dr. E. L. Jimmerson, Pastor, will officiate.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM.
Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance at the Graveside and the viewing must wear a mask and social distancing is encouraged.
Johnnie Mae Clark was born on February 19, 1951, to the late Johnny Cato Rosser and Willie Estella Rosser. She was raised in Meriwether County and was educated at Greenville Consolidated School. She was employed at Uniroyal in Hogansville, Ga. After her departure from Uniroyal, she began to nurture and caretake many youths in the community. At an early age, Johnnie Mae Clark joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member on the Mother’s Board who truly loved the Lord.
Johnnie Mae Clark enjoyed being around family, listening to her gospel music, and completing crossword puzzles. Also, enjoyed cooking her famous mac n cheese until her health started to fail.
Johnnie Mae Clark was preceded in death by her parents (Johnny and Willie Rosser), daughter (Cynthia Rosser), sisters (Annella /James Albert , Burston and Gracie Wheelous/ James Wheelous), brothers in-law (Elmon Ford and Billy Lynch), son in-law (Willie Rosser Jr,), and great-granddaughter (Layla Clark). She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Stephanie Clark, and Rachel McGruder (Timmy); two sisters (Thelma Ford and Ola Mae Lynch); one brother (Robert Lewis Rosser); and six grandchildren (TeSheena Snelling (Marshawn), Ferrando Clark (Latifah), Jamarcus Clark, Conteria Slaton (Javorick), Timothy McGruder (Britney), and Contavis Rosser); seven great-grandchildren, one special friend (Cathy Rosser), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
