Obituary For Sarah Lee Shell

Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Sarah Lee Shell, (79), of Union Springs, Alabama. Ms. Shell passed away in Pensacola, FL at the Covenant Care Center for Hospice Care on January 17, 2022. The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, January 28, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home. The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 am from the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Union Springs, AL. Pastor Henry Shell will deliver the message of triumph. In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Mrs. Sarah Lee Shell began her earthly journey, October 18, 1942. She was the daughter of the Lillie B. Shell and Oscar Lee Shell of Union Springs, AL. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Young Sardis Baptist Church. The Master’s call was answered on Monday, January 17, 2002, at the West Florida Rehabilitation Center in Pensacola, FL. Preceding her in death are her parents, three children, Leonard, Edward, and Kenneth Shell: and two brothers, Lance and Junior Shell Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories are three children, Gregory (Linda) Shell, Orlando, FL, Rosalyn Elisha Shell, Union Springs, AL, and Oscar (Aretha) Shell, Troy, AL; her brothers and sisters, Roger Shell Saginaw, MI, James (Stacey) Shell, Midway, AL, Henry (Gladys) Shell, Montgomery, AL, Brazil (Robert) Jones Bensalem, PA, Thomas Shell,, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Joe Shell, Union Springs, AL her grandchildren, Gregory, Jasmine, Ratavious, Travon, DeAndre, Kandis, Lenah, and Malik; her eight great grands and numerous nieces. nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
