ObituaryAnnie Kate Pooler, better known to all as Mama Ann, Aunt Ann, and Mommy, was born June 15, 1953 in Lone Oak, Georgia to the late Mr.and Mrs. John (Eudora) Pinson.

She was the third daughter out of the six Pinson children. To know Mama Ann was a pleasure, as well as a joy, because you never knew what you were getting. It could be a home cooked meal, a place to lay your head, a babysitter, or just a good ol’cussing out; but whatever you got, you took with pride because you knew it came from Mama Ann. To know Mama Ann, you had to know Kenny Henry Ellis, her pride and joy; riding partner of thirty-five years, better known as her better half.

On Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1 pm, Mama Ann gained her heavenly wings at her home. Unknown to many, the last six months had been a journey but she fought as hard as she could or as much as she could until she took her last breath in the presence of her caregivers Kenny Ellis and her granddaughter Jamica Wheelous who only left her side to eat, sleep, and prepare for the next day; all without a frown or regret.

Preceding her in death, a daughter Girl Pooler, sister Clara Pinson, brother Earl Pinson, niece Sherise Malone, and grandson Cortez PoolerSnelling.

She leaves to cherish her memory, partner Kenneth Ellis; daughterCarmen (Jamie) Wheelous; son Tyrone (Kim) Pooler and son Hubert(Christine) Pooler; Grandchildren: Kernika Sewell, Jamica Wheelous, Jamie Wheelous, Carneisha Snellings, Jamie Wheelous Jr., Carmelo Pooler, Desmond Pooler, Jordin Pooler, Carmecia Pooler, Christian Pooler and four great-grandchildren: Mason Alford, Madison Sewell, Jayceon Blount, and Janyla Blount; sisters Gennise Pinson, Deborah (Dennis) Lowe; brother John Pinson; A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A special thanks to her nieces Tisa Wright and Johnika Hudson, Goddaughter Kim Wheelous and special caregiver from the start, Tatiyana Farrow.
