Obituary For Mrs. Hattie Meadows

Mrs. Hattie Mae Wright Meadows, a resident of Lanett, Alabama, died Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 A. M. (CST) on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at New Mt. Sellers Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, LaFayette, AL with Pastor Terry L. Magby, Sr. officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

There will be no public viewing.

Mrs. Hattie Mae Wright Meadows was born on August 6th to the parentage of Will Wright and Martha Ware Wright in Chambers County, Alabama.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the New Mt. Sellers Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Ministry and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Hattie was married to the late Ralph Meadows. She was a dedicated employee of West Point Pepperrell for many years until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph Meadows; her parents, Will and Martha Wright; sisters, Jimmie Lean Thomas and Mae Rose Burton; brother, William P. Wright; a niece, Kimberly Burton Fannin; and, two nephews, Jimmy Rogers and Terry Lewis Thomas. Mrs. Hattie M. Wright Meadows departed this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her residence in Lanett, Alabama.

Mrs. Hattie leaves her unforgettable memories to be cherished by: one brother, Edward Wright of Lanett, AL; three nieces, Jean (Rev. Michael) Stevenson, Linda F. Thomas, and Mechelle (Jimmy) Mitchell all of LaFayette, AL; four nephews, Raymond Thomas, Jr., Toney (Stephanie) Thomas both of LaFayette, AL, Derrick (Mary) Ross of Ozark, AL and Shone (Denise) Burton of Lanett, AL; a very special friend and caregiver, Charles Thomas of Lanett, AL; a special niece, Mae Thomas; a godson, โ€œAJโ€ Ayโ€™den Fell of LaFayette, AL; two special friends, Doris Burns and Shawanda Whitlow both of Lanett, AL; three sisters-in-law, Charlene Meadows, Bettye Patton, and Barbara Love all of LaFayette, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends
