Obituary For Thomas “Bubba” Brown

We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Thomas “Bubba” Brown, age 64, of Grantville, Georgia on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Healthcare.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM, Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 2950 Primrose Road, Greenville, Georgia. Dr. E. L. Jimerson, Pastor, will officiate.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon until 7:00 PM.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, everyone in attendance at the Graveside and the viewing must wear a MASK and social distancing is encouraged.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love is appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8.”

Thomas Calvin Brown “Bubba” began his journey of life on March 20, 1957 in Hogansville, Georgia to the late Tommie Frank Brown.

Bubba attended the Troup County School System. Early in life, he joined Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville, Georgia. Later in life, he united with his wife and joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was ordained as a Deacon and served faithfully and wholeheartedly until his death. One of his gifts were singing and he joined the Zion Hill Senior Choir and used his voice to glorify God. Whenever he would sing, he would always quote his favorite saying “PRAISE THE LORD EVERYBODY.” He was also affiliated with the Men’s Ministry and the Cemetery Committee.

Bubba was united in holy matrimony to his sweetheart and best friend, Sandra Ford, in 1984.

Bubba answered the master’s call and departed this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice Black; father-in-law, Elmon Ford; and two sisters, Precious Thomas and Margaret Broadnax.

Bubba leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife (his best friend) of 37 years, Sandra Brown; two sons, Chevosky (LaChundra) and Carlos Brown; two grandchildren, CJ and Karmori; loving mother-in-law, Thelma Ford; four sisters, Sabrina, Robin, Cynthia (UnRicky) and Nicole; three brothers, Charles (Inez), Timothy (Shirley), and Kerry (Tiffany); two sisters-in-law, Carol (Richard) and Jennifer; three brothers-in-law, Michael, Kenneth (Sharon) and Jeffery (Tisa); two special friends, Donald Hinton and Gary Elders; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
