Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Kareem Jabbar Morris , 46, of Union Springs, Alabama on May 25, 2018.

Born August 30, 1971, Mr. Morris was married to Mrs. Carrie Manuel Morris.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Mt. Silla Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Fred Douglas pastor.

The message of comfort and strength will be delivered by the Rev. Henry Streeter,pastor of the Hayes Hill and New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Churches.

Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Cemetery, Halls Crossroads Community.

Mr. Morris will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.

Public visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 from 2 :00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

Mr. Kareem Jabbar Morris was born August 30, 1971 in Macon, Georgia, to the late Fredrick Hargrove and Beulah Rose Morris. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Greater Bellevue Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. Kareem attended Central High School in Macon, Ga.

Jabbar was a loving, devoted and joyful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and loyal friend. In his spare time, he enjoyed hanging with his family and friends as well as cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Lakers. He was also a diehard Roll Tide fan. He made his heavenly transition from this life on Friday May 25, 2018.

Kareem was preceded in death by his loving parents and grandmother.

Kareem leave to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Carrie Rebecca Morris of Union Springs, AL; two daughters, Lacarrious Manuel of Kennesaw, GA and Tasia Manuel of Macon, GA; two sons, Andrew (Addenia) Manuel of Montgomery, AL and Akeviye Swain of Oak Harbor, WA; five grandchildren, Andrew Manuel Jr., Cara Williams, Christian Marlow, Caylee Marlow and Aliyah Manuel all of Macon, GA; one grandfather, George Bundrige Sr. of Macon, Ga; five aunts, Kathy Whitehead, Joyce (Edward) Tobler, Lillie Daniel, Millicent (Tellis) Bentley, and Betty Hargrove all of Macon, Ga; five uncles, George (Earlene) Bundrige Jr., Lamar Louis, David Whitehead, Ulysees (Marjorie) Hargrove all of Macon, Ga and Rufus (Cheryl) Bundrige of Jacksonville, Fl; one brother, Steve Morris of Union Springs, Al; one mother-inlaw, Carstella Baker of Union Springs, Al; one devoted friend, Dainienon Kind (whom he loved as a nephew) of Macon, Ga and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
