Obituary For Rhoda Christina Glenn

We respectfully announce the passing of Ms. Rhoda Christina Glenn, age 30, of Union City, Georgia on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Dekalb County.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary United Methodist Church, 100 Pine Street, Hogansville, Ga. Rev. Elaine Gilbert, Pastor and Rev. Carlton Mahone, Sr., Pastor of St. Paul CME Church in Lone Oak, Ga., Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the St. Mary Church Cemetery.

Rhoda Christina Glenn was born on December 25th, 1987, in Lanett Valley, AL to the parents of Karen Zachary, and Herbert Brown.

Rhoda had a very bright personality and was a happy, and lovable person to be around. She was very passionate about life and loved spending time with her family and friends. People who knew her would tell you that when she walked into a room, there’s nothing but joy and laughter. She wanted everyone around her to smile, and to be full of life like she was, because she made sure to cherish every moment of it. Rhoda was a very, very giving person, and would give you her last. She had a heart full of pure love, and kindness. She loved and accepted everyone for who they were. One of her favorite things to quote was, “Just be yourself, and love yourself”.

Rhoda loved traveling to different places and meeting new people. She loved it so much, she obtained her Commercial Driver License with C.R. England Truck Driving School in 2014, where she then continued to travel, doing what she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Lucious Glenn, and her Father, Herbert Brown. She leaves to cherish her memories her Mother, Karen M. Zachary of Lawrenceville, GA; Six sisters: Tiffine C. Glenn of Atlanta, GA, Mara E. Zachary of Barnesville, GA, Goldie Brown-Bailey of Dallas, TX, Jakela Brown of West Memphis, AR, Mykerrion Williams of West Memphis, AR, and Rosemary Williams of Fort Riley, KS; Four brothers: Herbert Brown of Memphis, TN, Terrance Johnson of Memphis, TN, Ernest Brown of West Memphis, AR, and Albert Brown of West Memphis, AR; Her Grandmother: Cora Mae Glenn of Hogansville, GA; Honorary Mother: Penelope Brown of West Memphis, AR; Four Aunts: Beverly E. Hunter of Hogansville, GA, Melody K. Glenn of Acworth, GA, Tracey J. Glenn of Acworth, GA, and Vera Glenn of Woodstock, GA; Three Uncles: Willie L. Glenn of Woodstock, GA, Rodney J. Glenn of Douglasville, GA, and David E. Glenn of Texarkana,TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and her best friend, Brianna Gibson, whom she loved dearly.
