Obituary For George "Shane" Ransom Jr.

We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. George Ransom Jr, "Shane", age 57, of Hogansville, Ga. on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville. Rev. Reginald Wade, Pastor and Rev. Frederick Lowe Jr., Pastor of Zion Covenant Fellowship Church in Eatonton Ga, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

On October 13, 1960, George Washington Ransom, Jr. (Shane) was born to the late George Ransom and Elizabeth Ransom. He was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Brightmoor Hospice Center in Griffin Georgia.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Jean Amey and one nephew, Jason Ransom.

He was employed with Old Dominion Freight Line Company until his health begin to fail.

He leave to cherish his memories his wife, Phyllis Anita Ransom; two daughters, Shemia and Sheri; three sons, Antonio (LaQuesha), Andrea(Jennifer) and ShaRon; thirteen grandchildren; three sisters, Gwendolyn, Rachel and Phyllissis (Flip); one brother, John Tyrone (Jane) Ransom; and others aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece that loved him very much.

He enjoyed cooking, being around family and friends and driving. Hewill be missed very much by his wife, Phyllis (Phil).
