A Celebration for Life Service for Ms. Cofield will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 12:00(noon) at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, GA with the Dr. W.T. Edmondson, Pastor and Rev. Lamar McCulley, Eulogist.
The remains will lie in state at the Bethlehem Baptist Church on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. ET until the funeral hour.
Henrietta Lucia Cofield, the beloved daughter of the late Henry (Sr.) and Hattie Lucille Cofield was born December 27, 1965 in Langdale, AL. On Tuesday, May 1, 2018 she was called home to be with the Lord.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Henrietta received her former education in the West Point City School System, where she was a member of the 1982 graduating class. During high school she was a member of the West Point High School Marching Band, where she served as a majorette. After high school, Henrietta started her nursing career at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL. She later pursued her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, GA, where she worked diligently for over 28 years. She was truly a caring and loving member of the Labor and Delivery Department
Henrietta was a dedicated and loving mother of three sons and a daughter. She helped in the rearing of many of her family members.
Henriette Lucia Cofield lived a spiritual life and always carried God’s word.
She leaves her cherishing memories with her children, Henry Authur William Cofield,IV (Aniya), Christopher Antwan Cofield, Jay Jamontez Cofield and Jessica Cofield-Travis(Everett) ;four grandchildren, Godiva Meridth, and Tarius Bray Jr., Alexia and Sh’daria Cofield; silbings, Paul Askew(Kim), Josephine Cofield, Sarah Cofield, Eugenia Blake(William), Henry Cofield and Harriet Cofield-Robinson(Derrick), Jennifer Cofield, ; aunts, Earnestine Billingsley and Mary Ford; 17 nieces and nephews, two great nieces and nephews; special friends and family, Bernice Brown, Dianne Davidson(George), Cherry Davidson, Takeshi Davidson, Muriel Gunn Hamby, and a host of other relatives and friends.
