Obituary For Ida Mae Gates Grier

We respectfully announce the passing of Mrs. Ida Mae Gates Grier of LaGrange Georgia on Sunday, April 22, 2018.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Lighthouse Tabernacle of Jesus Christ, 33 Lincoln Street in Hogansville, Georgia. Pastor Robert Longshore will officiate.

Ms. Ida was a dear neighbor of ours. Her love for the children in the neighborhood was contagious. I would often call her the “Neighborhood Grandmother.” Children were drawn to her love. She shared stories and her time. My little one loved the trinkets in her yard and the dolls in her house. Ms. Ida giggled each time she would pull the zebra out of her front bushes and hop on it for a ride. It was her must do each time we came to visit. My deepest and most sincere condolences to her family and friends. She was a special lady will be so very missed. We love you Ms. Ida!
