Obituary For John Wesley Williams

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. John Wesley Williams, of Dadeville, Alabama. Known and loved as “Bug”, Mr. Williams, 61, transitioned into eternity September 28, 2021.

The Commemoration of life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, October 8, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 1:00 pm from the Mt. Azure Missionary Baptist Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on Carter Funeral Home Facebook page. (see clickable link below)

Elder Joseph Jones of the Union Springs First Seventh Adventist Church will deliver the Spoken Word Celebration of Life.

All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols and all attendees are encouraged to utilize appropriate facial coverings.

MR. JOHN WESLEY WILLIAMS, loving son of the late Mrs. Estella Scott and the late Mr. John W. Johnson, was born August 3, 1960 in Union Springs, Alabama. He departed this life for eternal rest on September 28, 2021 at Dadeville Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama.

Mr. John W. Williams confessed Christ and joined St. Luke Baptist Church at an early age. During his reign at Bullock County High School, he was a star football player and allaround star athlete. After football, he immersed his days/ nights in fishing and hunting when he was away from school. He later devoted over twenty-five years to a career he was passionate about, Coast to Coast truck driving! Later, he moved to Dadeville, Alabama with his life companion, Ms. Diane Banks.

Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his loving memories, four devoted children: one daughter, Latonya Williams (Timothy) Parker, Haines City, Florida, three sons: John W. Williams, Jr. Poinciana, Florida, Andre Williams, Ruskin, Florida, and Rodney Hatcher, Union Springs, Alabama; four step-children: Derrick (Katrina) Banks, Terrance (Katrina) Banks, Bradley (Sylvia) Banks, and Markelia (Natalie) Jiles; two devoted and loving sisters: Carolyn (Sean) Dees, Montgomery, Alabama and Savannah (Bennie) Youngblood, Union Springs, Alabama; seven grandchildren: John W. Williams III, Emarion Robinson, Ja’Niya Robinson, Andre Williams, DeAndre Williams, Sania Williams, and Shanaria Hatcher; nieces and nephews, Joseph D. Johnson, Dallas, Texas, Vincent Sanks, Houston, Texas, Tarria Williams, Union Springs, Alabama, Deon Dees, Montgomery, Alabama, and Travis Fitzpatrick, Jr., San Antonio, Texas; one uncle, Joe (Ruthie Mae) Johnson, Tuskegee, Alabama; a devoted cousin, Darnie Williams; along with numerous cousins, relatives, and friends including his special friends, Helen Brown, Patricia Crayton, and Damion
