Obituary For Cynthia Denise Jones Rayborn

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Cynthia Denise Jones Rayborn, of Union Springs, Alabama. Mrs. Rayborn, 64, transitioned into eternity October 3, 2021.

The Commemoration of life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, October 8, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 am from the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Sidney D. Jernigan, Jr. of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy.

All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols and all attendees are encouraged to utilize appropriate facial coverings.

Cynthia Denise Jones Rayborn made her debut in this world on September 4, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama. Cynthia, age 64, gained her wings on October 3, 2021 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Jones.

Cynthia joined Union Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She was educated in the Bullock County Public School System, graduating in the Class of 1976 from Bullock County High School. Cynthia was one of Bullock County High School’s bigtime majorettes. She loved gardening, fishing, and cooking. Cynthia enjoyed her life and traveling while rearing her five sons.

Cynthia was employed by Wayne Farms and Columbus Mills in Union Springs, Alabama and Beaulieu of America in Eufaula, Alabama.

Today, we celebrate one of God’s finest angels, soft spoken, humble woman, and a loving mother; to keep her memories alive are, five sons: Quincy Jones (Marcia), Jacksonville, FL, Reginald (Kriste) Jones, Duluth, GA, Timothy (Brandy) Rayborn, LaGrange, GA, Jeremiah Rayborn, Knoxville, TN, and Jeffery Rayborn, Montgomery, AL; twelve grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, a loving and caring mother, Bernice Jones, Union Springs, AL; two sisters, Mecherrie (Willie) Owens and Valerie (Henry) Thomas; one brother, Herman Jones, all of Union Springs, AL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many relatives, and friends.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be selected to provide End of Life Services for the late Mrs. Cynthia Denise Jones Rayborn.
