Obituary For Robert Eugene Lewis

Robert E. Lewis of West Point, GA went to be with his Lord on April 15, 2018.

A chapel service will be held at Spring Road Christian Church, Lanett, Alabama on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

He is preceded in death by his father, Corbin, his mother Francis, his brother Sheilds, his sister Sue and his daughter Teresa LeBruno. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years Jo Ann, two sons, Ron and Rick, four grandchildren, Christina Ham, Ryan LeBruno, Melissa Lewis and Nathan Lewis. Bob was also blessed to have seen four great-grandchildren, Emily, Anthony and Lindsey Ham and Bennett Lewis.

He is also survived by two nieces, Sheila Sternberg and Pam Haddix.

Bob spent most of his life in Central Florida after growing up in Knoxville, TN. In 1995 he completed a 30+ year career with Lockheed Martin. He transitioned to retirement which included time with family, tinkering with his antique cars and a second career as the “stock-boy" of “Bob’s Bargain Barn."

I knew Bob during our shared time at Pine Hills Christian Church when I was his minister. After he moved to Lake Wales, I visited him and enjoyed he and Jo Ann's hospitality. I had high respect for Bob because he demonstrated intelligence, wisdom, and a variety of admirable skills. May God bless each of his family friends as they feel this loss.

Bob, was one the sweetest, funniest men I ever met. He was such a loving family man who welcomed me into his family if I was his own. Always welcoming with a funny joke and a witty smile, and ever so kind. He was a great inspiration to me when I needed it most.
