Mr. John Henry Harris III "Johnny Boy", 73, of Detroit, MI passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Pastor Albert Suggs officiated.

The only son of the late John H. Harris Jr. and the late Ruby Pearl Harris, John III was born in Hamilton, GA on June 3,1944. Before moving to Detroit, he worked for Lummus Corporation for several years. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of dedicated service. John was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician. He enjoyed music, gardening, and leathercraft.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha J. Harris; son John Harris IV (La-Keshun); six sisters, Annie Harrison (Howard Sr.), Kathleen Ceasar (Johnnie), Edna Johnson (Ronnie), Valerie Brooks (the late Edward), Sheryl Johnson and Judith Corbin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one uncle, Bennie Harris (Myrtistine); two aunts, Beatrice Snow (the late Lonnie), Mae Nell Woodward; step daughter Eleanor Matthews; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
