Obituary For Brandyn Johnson

Mr. Brandyn Alexander Johnson, 20 of Lanett, Alabama, died Saturday, September 4,2021.

Brandyn was born on March 8, 2001 in Lee County, Alabama. He is survived by his father and mother, Johnny and Amanda Johnson; sisters, Courtney Johnson, Shelbie Hunt (Mitchell), and Hailey Johnson; nephews, Bryson and Bryant Johnson; niece, Amelia Hunt; aunts, Judy Gasaway, Ashley Lewis; uncles, Dale Johnson (Lisa), Glenn Johnson(Vicky), Robert Foster(Lora); grandparents, Phillip and Kathy Dukes, Bill and Debbie Lewis; great-grandmother, Betty Lewis; many great-uncles, great-aunts, and cousins.

Brandyn graduated from Valley High School in May of 2020 and dreamed of becoming a diesel mechanic. He loved riding four wheelers, rodeos, driving dirt roads, working on vehicles, drawing, and spending time with his friends. He always had a smile on his face and was eager to lend a helping hand. His loving personality was contagious and he would do anything to make you laugh.

A candlelight vigil will be held at Hardley Creek Park (below West Point Dam) on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 7:45 EST. A private memorial service will be held for the family.

I had the absolute pleasure of being Brandyn's PE teacher at Huguley Elementary. He always had a smile on his face and was such a joy to teach. This family has always been special to me. You are all in my prayers during this time. RIP Brandyn

Me and Bradyn was always great friends but I remember telling him one day that I have never been given flowers. He made it a point to show up to where I was working with the most beautiful white roses. He would do anything for anyone. He was a amazing man. There isn't many people like him.
