Mrs. Jeannie Huston was born April 21,1941 to the parentage of the late George Billingslea, Sr. and Amanda Billingslea Clay. She transitioned from her earthly home to enter into eternal rest on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Emory University Midtown Hospital, Atlanta, GA.

At an early age, Jeannie confessed Christ as her Lord and savior and united with the New Zion Baptist Church, Lanett, AL. She was a strong, loving, woman of God. She always prayed for others. Her compassion and honesty rounded her off as a great woman.

Jeannie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jeffrey Huston, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was retired from Masterlock after 25 years of service.

Jeannie lived a good life. She enjoyed laughing and being around family members and friends. She had a outgoing personality and always remained calm in tough situations.

She was preceded in death by her parent, one brother, Grady B. Billingslea, Sr., George Billingslea, Jr., Lee Morris Billingslea, and a sister, Armanthia”Tina”Agnew.

Jeannie leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Jeffrey(Phyllis) Huston; one sister, Armand Billingslea; one grandson, Romero Huston; three granddaughters, Angelina Riedijk, Hailey Desroches, and Domonique Huston; great grandchildren, Isaiah Huston, Chaz Huston and (soon to be), Saraiyah Soliel Huston; two nephews, Morris Billingslea and Grady Billingslea, Jr.; cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Huston will be held at 12:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the New Zion Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Willie Atkinson, Pastor and Rev. Jackie Banks, Eulogist. Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the M.W. Lee Mortuary.
