We respectfully announce the passing of Ms. Altheire J. Curtis, age 57, of Grantville, Ga. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Memorial services will be held, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Thrash and Sons Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street in Hogansville, Ga. Rev. Johnny Strickland will officiate.

Miss Altheire ‘Sister’ Curtis was born May 3, 1960 in Atlanta, GA to the late John and Mary Curtis. She departed earthly life on December 27, 2017.

Sister grew up in Jonesboro, GA. She graduated from Jonesboro Senior High School. She worked at Mann Company from the time she graduated from high school until the company closed. Sister had a love of fashion and beauty. She would not be seen in public without her hair and makeup done. Sister moved in with her devoted son Mario after she became disabled.

Left to cherish precious memories of sister are her two sons: Mario (Trellis) Curtis and Charles Morton; brothers Rickey (Melinda), Robert, Wayne, Johnny, and Edward; four grandchildren, and a host of friends and other relatives.
