Obituary For Ida Mae Jones

Miss Ida Mae Jones passed away Friday at the age of 75.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with interment in Green Acres Cemetery. Pastor Ken Jelks will officiate.

There will not be a public visitation.

The daughter of the late Mr. Raymond Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Leslie Spivey Jones, Miss Jones was born in Cusseta, Chattahoochee County, GA and was a devout member for over 50 years at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She was a beloved homemaker. Other than her parents, Miss Jones was preceded by death by her daughter, Tracy Averett, and three siblings, Major Jones, Weltha Sutton and Evonn Jones.

Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: nine siblings, her brothers, Haywood Jones, Raymond Jones, Jr. (Gloria), George Jones (Veronica), Nathaniel Jones and Maurice Jones (Gloria); her sisters, Emma Thornton, Juanita Chinn, Mary Hall and Patricia Pollard; two faithful and devoted nieces, Twyonia Porch and Kim-Lynn Mitchell; a host of loving and devoted nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
