Obituary For Ronald Nathan Stephens

Mr. Ronald Nathan Stephens 83 of Abanda, Alabama passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Stephens was born on July 29, 1938 in Wadley, Alabama. He attended Chambers County High School, followed by Southern Union Junior College and Auburn University. After living in Detroit, Michigan, Birmingham, Alabama and Montgomery, Alabama he returned to his home in Abanda in 1971 at which time he went to work for ACE Hardware in Roanoke, Alabama until his retirement.

Mr. Stephens was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke for many years. He was also an avid Auburn University fan, having been a member of the Auburn Alumni Association and attending every home game possible until declining health interfered.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his Sister Bettye S. Wheeler of Wadley, Al., Nephew Stephen C. Wheeler (Holly), niece April W. Smith (Leroy), 3 Great Nieces and 1 Great Nephew and special caregivers Kimberly Harlow, Brenda Kennedy and Herbert Kimble. Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his Parents Nathan and Thelma (Parrish) Stephens.

Visitation will be held from 11AM until 12 Noon CDT on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke with funeral services following at 12Noon CDT burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Chambers County, Alabama.
