Obituary For Mrs. Eulalar Drake

Drake, Mrs. Eulalar, a resident of LaFayette, AL, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. (CST) at Handy Memorial Cemetery, LaFayette, AL with Rev. Michael T. Stiggers, Sr. officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Eulalar Miller Drake was born June 12, 1933 to the parentage of the late Eucealar Asberry and Cecil Miller in Chambers County, Alabama. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Macedonia Baptist Church in rural LaFayette, Alabama. After moving to town, she united with Kellum Hill Baptist Church, now Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

She was united in holy matrimony to Edward Drake and this union was blessed with 17 children. She was a loving and devoted wife, a very proud and loving mother, and a loving and doting grandmother.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edward Drake, Sr.; one brother, Eugene Morgan; one daughter, Evanulisa Drake; three sons, Cecil Drake, John Henry Drake and Gregory Drake. Eulalar Drake peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her residence. She was loved by so many people.

Loving memories will be cherished by: eight sons, Edward (Shieann) Drake, Jr., George (Lilac) Drake, Nelson Drake, Royzell Drake, Warren Drake, Darry Wayne (Sonya) Drake, David (Shaquita) Drake and Timothy (Thressa) Drake; five daughters, Elaine (Joseph) Askew, Dorothy (Douglas) Avery, B. Victoria (Freddy) Hicks, Yolanda (Christopher) Trice and Parquitta (Corey) Trammell; 36 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Frank Miller; daughter-in-law, Betty Drake; and, a host of cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
