Obituary For Martin Lehman Scott

Mr. Martin Lehman Scott of Lanett, AL passed away on November 14, 2017 at EAMC Lanier in Valley AL.

Visitation for Lehman is at Bluffton Funeral Services, Tuesday Nov. 21st, From 2:00 PM EST to 3:00 pm EST, followed by the funeral service in the chapel of Bluffton Funeral Services.

Rev. Milford McClain and Rev. Eddie Striblin officiating. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Lehman was born in Randolph County, AL to Ernest Carter Scott and Sallie Burdette Scott. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Thomas Scott, daughter, Melanie Scott Curtis and her husband Rob Curtis of Windham ME; son, Ricky Scott and wife Peggie Killette Scott of LaGrange, GA; daughter, Gail Scott Staples and husband Ken Staples od LaGrange GA; 6 grandchildren - Jessica Scott Doyle, Brandy Staples, K.C. Staples, Shea Sivell, Justin Scott & Danielle Scott and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Sallie Scott; sons Robin Lee and Dennis Anthony Scott; brother Carter Scott; and grandson Cody Joshua Staples.

Lehman was a graduate of Handley High school and studied at Southern Union. and was a proud Veteran of the Korean War. He was a meat market manager for A&P Foods in Lanett until his retirement in 1999.

He enjoyed listening to old country music, and playing his guitars and banjos. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, doing yardwork. He was a loving father, grandfather great grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with the ones he loved.
