A native of Midway, Alabama, Ms.Jackson passed away July 27,2017.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Mt. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Jeffery Fortson, Pastor.
Words of comfort will be delivered by the Rev. Henry Streeter, pastor of the Hayes Hill and New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Churches.
Interment will follow in the Mt.Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery.
Ms.Jackson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home
Betty Jean Jackson was born October 31, 1950 in Midway, Alabama to the late Nathaniel Johnson and Lindy Ford Jackson.She confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Midway, Alabama. She also attended and joined True Vine Baptist Church under watch care in Orlando, Florida. She moved to Orlando, Florida in 1972. She worked at Grosvenor Resort, formerly known as Dutch Inn for 25 years. Betty entered into eternal rest July 27, 2017 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, Florida. Betty Jackson was preceded in death by her late mother: Lindy F. Jackson; father: Nathaniel Johnson; and brothers: James Jackson, Freddie Tarver, Genie Jackson and Curtis Johnson; and her sister: Lula Mae Hurt. She leaves to cherish her memories seven sisters: Ida Mae Hurt, Alice Tarver both of Midway, AL., Willie Pearl Riley of Eufaula, AL., devoted sisters: Frances Jackson of Midway, AL., Daisy Mae (Clifford) Coleman, Ethel Pace and Dianne Jackson all of Orlando, FL.; two devoted brothers: Junior L. Jackson of Midway, AL. and Joseph Jackson of Orlando, FL.; three devoted nieces: Chanelle Jackson of Midway, AL., Courtney Jackson of Orlando, FL., and Gwenda Scott of Columbus, GA.; a devoted great niece: Ja’Nyiah Middleton of Midway, AL.; God-daughter: Ah’Janae Bennett of Orlando, FL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends who loved her dearly including a special friend: Odell Maxwell of Orlando, FL .and her devoted friends: Dorothy Collier, Mary Woodard, Marilyn Beckford, and Mollie Jackson, all of Orlando, FL.
