Obituary For Lillian Rhodes “Skin” Cotton

We respectfully announce the passing of Mrs. Lillian Rhodes Cotton “Skin” of Hogansville, Georgia on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery located at 2515 Coweta-Heard Road in Corinth. Rev. James Woods, Senior Pastor, Leete Hill United Methodist Church, Lagrange, Ga., will officiate.

Public viewing will be held Sunday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance at the Graveside and the viewing must wear a mask and social distancing is encouraged.

Lillian was a fun -loving character who always had a good word to say about everybody. She always said, ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all’ or “don ’t be like that ” She always had time to listen and pray with people, she would welcome you in, feed you, sit and listen either in person or on the phone, you always felt loved after seeing Lillian.

Lillian spirit tra n scended on April 20th, 2021 at the age of 8 2. She was born on March 3rd, 193 9 to Chatman & Jennie Bell Rhodes, who both preceded her in death . Siblings who preceded her in death: Mary Blackmon, Lou Dora Alexander, Robert Rhodes, Jessie Mae Jackson, Helen Terrell, Jennie Lou Hardaway .

Lillian was the loving mother to her only child, Larry Cotton, Sr. Lillian took much love & pride in raising her son . He was the love of her life!

Lillian was a true Christian and always went to church on Sundays, bible study, revivals, other church visits etc … she would love to sit and listen to the word, music and sing along with the choirs. She loved to fellowship!

To eternally cherish her loving memories is her son, Larry Cotton, Sr. (Janie), grandchildren, Honey Landers (DraKarr), Brittany Cameron, Larry Cotton, Jr. great -grandchildre n, Cwadrais Shurron, Cwadrae SanTod, Chiilace Seon, Tamaya Cotton, Na ’khia Cotton, Zebreunna Millen, Zebeuntay Cameron, Jacob Tigner, D’Jayvean Tigner, Zebadiah Millen, Jr. Karson Cotton, great -great -grandchilden, Cassidy Shurron , Rhyland Cameron and a loving brother, Willie Fred Rhodes. Also, to cherish he r loving memories, a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, along with a special bond with Lorraine Philpot and Lamar Thomas
