Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Sister Willie Mae Mack of Midway, Alabama.

Mrs. Mack 75, gently exchanged life for eternity on February 11, 2021.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Person Chapel AME Church (Parking lot), Midway, Alabama.

Interment will follow in the Sandtown Cemetery. Pastor Eugene Johnson will officiate all services. The message of comfort will be delivered by Rev. Christopher Reeves

Public visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home of Union Springs, Alabama.

All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols.

Sister Willie Mae Mack was born October 25, 1945 in Midway, Alabama to the late Amos and Lorena Mack. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Person Chapel A.M.E. Church in Midway, AL under the leadership of Rev. H.A. Phillips. She served as a faithful member on the usher and stewardess boards. Willie Mae was a former member of Person Chapel’s Senior Choir and The Five Wonders of Midway, AL musical group. She was also a member of the Mt. Pisgah Chapter 57 Order of Eastern Star.

She was educated at Merritt High School in Midway, AL.

Along life’s way, she married the late Tom King, Sr. and James (J.C.) Foster. Willie Mae had a passion for working, shopping, sharing with loved ones, and giving God her highest praise until God called her home.

She retired after many years working at Wayne Farms of Union Springs, AL. As she continued her employment history, Willie Mae worked at Bullock County Hospital in the Dietary Department until her health failed.

Exchanging life for eternity on Thursday, February 11, 2021, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, W.C. Allen and Williams Allen; one great-grandchild, Erin King; and one niece, Linda Turner.

Willie Mae leaves to cherish her memories: three beautiful daughters, Stacey R. King, Haines City, FL, Tanya L. King (caretaker), Union Springs, AL, Angela D. King, Eufaula, AL, and her only son, Tom King, Jr., Opelika, AL; a devoted sister, Lola (Major) Lewis, Boston, MA; a devoted brother whom she loved dearly, Johnney Lee (Mammie) Mack, Midway, AL; one sister-in-law, Inez Allen, Columbia, NC; her legacy lives on with eight grandchildren, Justin, Shanteria, Janecia, Shedrick, ShaVonna, Tomacus, TreVon, and ConDarrious; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Mason; a close cousin, Johnnie Mae Chavis, Haines City, FL; close friends, Angela Brown and Dorthy Cummings; along with a host of family, friends, and loved ones who will miss her dearly. I’m on my way Home….
