Mrs. Robinson was employed with the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) for twenty years until her retirement in 1995. She was a devoted life member of the DAV auxiliary, and a devoted member of the AMVETS auxiliary, the American Legion auxiliary and the Gold Star Wives club.
She was a faithful member of Spirit Filled Ministries in Columbus, GA. In addition to her husband,
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Sallie Merritt; and one daughter Raymechia M. Smith. She leaves to celebrate her life, three sons: John Robinson (Charlene), Raymond Robinson, Jr. (Phyllis), and Aaron Wayne Robinson; four daughters: Rose Young, Vera Hood, Angela Paul (James) and Leatta Phillips (Gerard); 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:30 A.M., in the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home followed by an interment at Main Post Cemetery in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Visitation hours will begin Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 3:00 P.M., ending at 5:00 P.M.
All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed facial coverings and social distancing protocols.
