Johnny Rosser, Jr. lived a full life with much love. He was born to Johnny Walter Rosser and Grace Blount Sewell Rosser. Johnny was born in Hogansville, Ga. He was baptized in St. Mary’s United Methodist Church as an infant and was raised in this environment until moving to Atlanta, Ga. Johnny renewed his relationship with Jesus Christ and could not have a conversation with you without telling you about how blessed he has been by God, often bringing him to tears as he shared his faith. He became a strong church school member and worshipper.
Dad attended West End School in Hogansville and Greenville Schools and spent much of his younger days in the Greenville Community. He called the Brooks Rd. community home for many years. After several years of declining health, he passed of natural causes.
He loved his boys and his grandchildren. They gave him strength and he prayed for them regularly. He developed a close relationship with them as adult sons and they brought him comfort, joy and great pride. He was so proud of their accomplishments and the men they had become.
Dad was a master carpenter by natural inclination. He could build most anything with his hands just by having a verbal description of what was needed. In these last few years, he worked hard to emulate his dad by developing a taxi business serving the residents of the LaGrange, Ga. community. He took great pride in having made this achievement.
His grandchildren Alvion and Aria brought him great joy. He loved hearing about all the things they were involved in.
Dad was preceded in death by his mom and dad, wife Gloria Wood Rosser, brothers, Willie George Sewell, Steve Williams and sister, Linda Rosser Oliver.
He is loved and remembered by his sons, Demetric (Alexis) Rosser of McDonough, Ga. and Jonathan Rosser of Greensboro, N. C., grandson, Alvion Rosser and granddaughter, Aria Rosser both of McDonough Ga., sister Annie Cato Haigler of Louisville, Ky., brother Michael Hall of LaGrange, sister in law, Annie Denson Sewell of McDonough, Ga. and aunt, Gladys Rosser, Atlanta, Ga. Johnny is also loved by a family of relatives and special friends, of special note are Willie Mae Shield, Ronald Rosser, Gary Rosser, Larry Shields, Betty Beasley and Franklin Caldwell. We are so very grateful to have been a part of his journey. He is loved and will be missed.
Thanks be unto God for His grace, peace and healing upon Dad. The family thanks each of you for your continued prayers, your calls and texts and your presence with us. May God bless each of you.
