Obituary For Mario Jermaine Martin

Carter Funeral Home respectfully announces the transition of Mr. Mario J. Martin, 35, of Union Springs, Alabama.

Born December 17 1980, Mr. Martin passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 302 Carter Street, Union Springs, AL 36089.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of the First Missionary Baptist Church,106 Holcombe Avenue, Union Springs, Alabama 36089. Words of comfort will be delivered by the pastor, Rev. Gary Lewis. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in Mason Cemetery.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to serve the Martin family and join them in an expression of appreciation to their many neighbors and friends for their generous support afforded during the transition of their beloved.

Mario Jermaine Martin was born to Jimmy C. Martin and Johnnie Martin on December 17, 1980.

At an early age, Mario confessed Christ as his Savior at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church in Union Springs, AL.

He attended Bullock County Public Schools and was a member of the Bullock County High School Class of 1999.

Mario had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mario transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, July 9, 2016.

Mario was preceded in death by one grandfather, William C. Martin; one grandmother, Varnseal Martin; two aunts, Mattie Martin and Hattie Dennis and three uncles, Julian Martin, James Martin and Fred Reynolds and one special friend, Kenyatta O’Neal.

Mario leaves to cherish his precious memories: parents, Johnnie Martin and Jimmy C. (Lynn) Martin, Sr., all of Union Springs, AL; three brothers, William (Wanda) Martin, Montgomery, AL, Joshua C. Martin and Jimmy C. Martin, Jr., both of Union Springs, AL; five sisters, Kimberly (Dwayne) Flowers, Montgomery, AL, Shanta (J.D.) McClain, Charlotte, NC, Andrea Martin, Union Springs, AL, Amie Martin, Tuskegee, AL and Jada C. Martin, Union Springs, AL; five nieces and two nephews, Tonisha Martin, Thailaishia Martin, Ayanna Martin, Jamya Lark, all of Tuskegee, AL, Nari McClain, Charlotte, NC, Cyril Martin, Montgomery, AL and Jace McClain, Charlotte, NC; one great-niece, Khloe Michelle Coates, Tuskegee, AL; aunts and uncles, Essie Anderson, Detroit, MI, Lovice Helms, Chicago, IL; Mary Snipes, Montgomery, AL, Ann (Henry) Tolbert, Union Springs, AL, Authurine Taylor, Wetumpka, AL, Fairy Henry, Edgar Owens, both of Union Springs, AL, John Murphy, Montgomery, AL, Alfonzo D.
