Mr. Tarver, affectionately known as Willie Lee exchanged life for eternity on November 12, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services and Interment will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Cemetery of the Cotton Valley Community.
The message of triumph will be provided by Pastor Leonza Harris of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
Public visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home of Union Springs, Alabama.
All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols. Facial coverings for all attendees are mandated per an executive order of the Governor of the State of Alabama.
A CELEBRATED LIFE Willie Lee Tarver was the fourth child of the late Annie Mae Posey and Jimmy Pendleton. He grew up in Bullock and Macon Counties. He joined the Bethelem Baptist Church at an early age.
WILLIE REMEMBERED Willie Lee and Victoria were united in the holy bonds of matrimony (twice) on July 25, 2014; and on February 27, 1976. To this union were born four children: Jeffrey, Likedia, Katrina, and Kimberly. Among the many things he loved to do was go fishing, this brought him much peace of mind, joy and happiness. He also enjoyed going shopping in the thrift stores. He was blessed with the gift of artmanship, he would search for unique items that was someone else unwanted pieces and restore it by spray painting it and when he was finished with it the item would look brand new again. He was employed with the Macon County Board of Education for eighteen years in the maintaince department, serving all of Macon County Schools and then he retired. He also had a gift and ability to make anyone laugh, he was a people person. Willie Lee departed this earthly journey to return back into the eternal presence of Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center, Auburn, Alabama. Three silbings preceded him in death: two brothers, Ernest Tarver, and Vaughn C. Tarver Sr., and one sister, Eva J. Patterson.

Tarver-Floyd, Auburn, AL. One surviving brother, Jerry (Vemester) Tarver, one sister, Wylean Tarver, both of Tuskegee, Alabama. Ten sister-in-laws, Mary Chance, Apopka, FL, Mildred Swift-Banks, Tuskegee, AL, Shirley (Thomas -deceased) Peebles , West Bloomfield Township, MI, Joann Swift, Clara (Ernest-deceased) Tarver, Jimmie Wilson, Annie Lewis Tarver, Shirley Tarver, all of Tuskegee, AL, Evelyn Law, Huntsville, AL, four brother-inlaws, Clarence (Ida) Swift, and Gilbert Swift, Otis Wilson, all in Tuskegee, AL; Eddie Ligon, Apopka, FL Twenty one grandchildren, Fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts, and uncles and other relatives.
