Obituary For Barbara Nelson

Progressive Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Nelson, Ms. Barbara, age 73, of Columbus, GA, on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Miss Barabara Nelson was born on April 28, 2947 in Columbus, Georgia, daughter of Mrs. Charlie Kelly and the late Clarence Nelson.

On October 16, 2020 Barbara made her final transition from life here on earth to a life of eternal rest with the Lord

She was a graduate of William Spencer High School in 1965. She was most recently a Nursery Coordinator at First Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ga.

She leaves behind a mother, Mrs. Charlie Kelly, a son, Travis Nelson, four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Hardy (Marshall), Mrs. Betty Jackson, Ms. Paris Marshall-Cole, Mrs. Martha Barefield (William) and one brother, Mr. Matthew Marshall (Connie), four grandchildren, Kalvontae, Dequandre, and Porsha Hollis, Ladarius Russell, and 14 great grandchildren.

Several special friends in her life was, Mrs. Dorene Williams, Mrs. Betty Buchanan, Mrs. Cynthia Hollis- Macon, Mrs. Rita Fullerlove, Mrs. Josephine Hollis, the late Evangelist Earnestine Hunt, and Mrs. Betty Springfield. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

There will a memorial service help for Miss Nelson on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2 PM at Progressive Funeral Home Chapel.

Rest in Heaven Barbara Nelson, you will be missed and we love you!
