Obituary For Jessie L. Ramsey

We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Jessie L. Ramsey, age 77, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at LaGrange Health and Rehabilitation.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 2950 Primrose Road, Greenville, Georgia. Dr. E. L. Jimerson, Pastor, will officiate.

Public viewing will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 6.00 PM. Due to COVID-19 concerns, everyone in attendance at the viewing and the Graveside must wear a mask and social distancing is required.

Mr. Jessie Lewis Ramsey was born and raised up in Alabama, Chambers County. He retired from Mike Patton Chevrolet in LaGrange, GA. Jessie was a very talkative person. He didn’t meet any strangers. He loved the Lord, good singing, preaching, praying, and most of all praising God. Jessie was a God-fearing man and if you spent just a minute talking with him you would know what a God-fearing man he was.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Kenneth Ramsey and Taurean Henderson, one daughter, Tina Vaughan (Phil), one sister, Dessie Dozier, a special friend Mattie, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Other special friends, Gregory Colton, Kenny Colton, Deborah Crowder and Teresa Crowder.

We will always remember the words that Jessie spoke so often in his conversations…”All things must change. They can’t say the same.”
