Carter Funeral Home is humbled to announce the transition of Mr. Lee Streeter Guice, Jr., 68, of Tuskegee, Alabama.
Mr. Guice, a retired letter carrier with the U S Postal Service passed away August 4, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services and interment will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 am from the Mt. Coney Baptist Cemetery, Midway, Alabama.
Words of comfort will be delivered by Pastor Jonas E Rutledge of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church of Tuskegee.
Public visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols.
Per a mandate from the Governor of Alabama, all attendees are required to utilize facial coverings.
Mr. Lee Streeter Guice, son of the late Lee Streeter Guice and Doll Lee Spivey was born November 3, 1943.
After completing his high school education, Lee moved to New York in 1969.
He was a dedicated civil service employee with the US Postal Service for over three decades.
Lee was married to Marjorie Taylor on September 23, 1972 and this union was blessed with two children. He was married a second time in 1999 to Burnia Upshaw.
Predeceased by both parent his son, Effrin Lamont Guice,, sister Willie Mary Shaw, and brother Moses Guice, Lee passed away peacefully August 4, 2020. He is survived by his daughter, Carlene Williams, son-in-law Les Williams, four grandchildren: Rayvon Guice, Kiera Williams, Camren Williams and Kelsey Williams. Siblings: brother Henry Guice and sisters Luvenia Clarke, Izonia Wright and Dollie McCaskill and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
