Obituary For Virginia “Ginny” McMillen

Virginia “Ginny” McMillen, 93, passed away on July 21, 2020 in LaGrange Georgia.

Virginia “Ginny” McMillen was born in Jasper, FL on September 19, 1926. She resided in Miami, FL in her early 20’s where she worked at the Miami Herald, and later as an office manager at a large animal vet for Dr. Teigland. She and her family were members of Miami Shores Presbyterian Church. She retired to Leesburg, FL in January of 1992 with her husband Charlie. They loved to travel, participate in a church bowling league, and were always involved with church activities. Ginny was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. After Charlie’s death in 1996 she met Jim McMillen and they spent 9 wonderful years together. She moved to LaGrange in 2010.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Griffith (Nelson), Leslie Paul (Chris), and Christine Pluschau, as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ginny always put her family first. She was committed to raising her girls and supporting their families; her daughters were her one true passion in this life.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm EDT at West Point 1st Presbyterian Church. Reverend Gerald Ledbetter will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations to West Georgia Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
