Obituary For Mrs. Mamie Franks

Franks, Mrs. Mamie Lloyd, a former resident of Lanett, AL, died Sunday, May 31, 2020 at LaFayette Nursing Home, LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2020 at 12:00 Noon (EST) at Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL with Dr. Jesse J. Walker II, officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Mamie Lloyd Franks, a native of Lanett, Alabama and the daughter of the late Frank and Eulala Ratchford Lloyd. During her 30 year residential tenure in Hartford, Connecticut, she was an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. After returning home, she united with Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanett and enjoyed singing and praying.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Arissa Stanfill and Mary E. McCullough. Mamie L. Franks departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette, Alabama.

Mrs. Franks leaves to cherish her memories: three nieces, Vernicka Mack, Atlanta, GA, Michelle Weld, Philadelphia, PA and Ieasha (J. Hugh II) Garrett, Montgomery, AL; four nephews, Kenneth (Brenda) McCullough, Topeka, KS, Timothy (Shirley) Stanfill of Maryland, Anthony (Larceaner) Stanfill of Kentucky and Roy McCullough, Lanett, AL; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special friends, J. C. Trice, West Point, GA and Sandra Jones. Her niece, Vernicka Mack and great-niece, Sandrieka (Albert IV) Moore, Bessemer, AL were her devoted caregivers.
