Obituary For Patricia Sims

Rev. Patricia Sims 74 of LaFayette, Alabama died Saturday February 8, 2020 at the Columbus Specialty Hospital.

Rev. Sims was a member of Lane's Chapel Methodist Church in Roanoke, Alabama and served as the pastor of the church for 17 years, she had also sang in the Billy Graham Choir, had been employed at Russell Corp. in LaFayette until it closed then worked at EAMC Lanier Hospital as a cashier and pharmacy tech, her hobbies were crocheting, fishing, reading her bible & spending time with her family. The highlight of her day was when Madison & Willow would run through the door hollering Maw-Maw and jump in her lap for big Hugs.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 10, 2020 at 12 Noon (CT) 1PM (ET) at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 6PM (ET) until 8PM (ET) at Resthaven Funeral Home.

She is survived by her Lane's Chapel Church family of Roanoke,Al. Daughter Charlotte (Nat) Saddler, Son Tommy (Shon) Sims, Adopted Daughter Wendy George, Grandchildren Nathan & Ashley Saddler, Mandy & Kerry Wright & Becca & Brandon Hackle, Great Grandchildren Madison, Willow, Braxton, Mason, Maddox & Myles Sister Regina (Danny) Searcy, Brother Jimmy (Julie) Vernon and a host of Nieces & Nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her Husband Billy Ray Sims, Mother Sara Frances Vernon, Daddy & Mama Thomas E. Vernon and Vancie M. Vernon, Sister Renae Vernon Echols, & Brothers George & Buddy Vernon.
